Chunky Pages!

My Chunky Pages book is really coming along, I have received 2 and made myself 2. When all is said and done I should have 40 YAY! The second picture is the latest chunky page I made, Asian inspired, and I am really pleased with it. I found this beautiful paper and that led the design. And thanks to some borrowed stamps (Thank U Cheri & Joey), some beads, eyelets, liquid embossing and copper wire it is exactly what I had in mind. This is off to Michigan, I hope she likes it.
I have not been sewing much lately, seems like I'm just paper crafting, and I'm missing it!! I need to finish my Amy Butler fabric bag before the end of the month so I can enter it in her challenge. And I have another tote I want to try. So I promise there is more to come. My blog is titled sew very carrie! for goodness sake. I don't feel like I'm living up to the name.
I also have many swaps to complete on Craftster:
1)Chunky page swap (that will go on for 9 more months)
2)Fabric ATC swap
3)Make me a Journal swap
4)Make me a Pin Cushion swap
The journal is about 1/2 way done, and if I just sit and focus, it could be done very quickly. The journal is going to Australia and I am excited about that. I have never sent to Australia. My international distribution is expanding! LOL
Have a good weekend, hopefully all the sickies at my house (including me) will be feeling better. xoxo

Wow, I have been busy!

Finally, pictures of some of the things I have been busy with this past week, in prep for Valentine's Day, LOOOOVVEE Valentine's!

1. My first completed chunky page for a craftster swap. I will have swapped 20 chunky pages once it is done. Soooo much fun, they measure 4x4 incches and are nice and chunky with LOTS of embellishing. This one got mailed to Spain today.

2. A last minute chocolate treat made with pretzels, kisses and M&M's. Love the sweet and salty combo!

3. M&m jars. I think I got these at Michael's and then embellished them. These are for Hubby's coworkers

4. Gift tags I made for my friends' gifts

5. More Valentine's mailboxes, gotta love the Target dollar bin :-) These are for teachers' gifts

6. Monkey hug. I am giving these monkeys, hugging pink hot cocoa and Hello Kitty biscuits as well as a handmade pillow case as gifts this year. I love making these pillow cases!!

I have also been doing A LOT of scrapbooking lately so I will post those pictures soon. Until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's Day full of love and happiness! XOXO

Special Delivery!

I found these cute little Valentine's mailboxes at Target and knew I had to fix them up! I found his printed watercolor paper at an area scapbook store and used watercolor pencils and a paint brush and love the look. This paper is really fun!! They had several different styles so I know I will be trying that again. Then I decorated the flag and filled the mailbox with candy. This one is going to my Grammie.

B my valentine

This is the page I designed for a scrapbook swap on Sat. The premise is you design a page, and then get together all supplies, embellishments and papers needed so everyone in your group can create the same page. I am really pleased with it and love this picture of my hubby. :-)

Valentine's here we come!

We had fun paper crafting today in anticipation of Valentine's. I had wanted to make some Valentine's themed paper topiaries like I had seen on Heather Bailey's blog. So I made 4 Valentine's trees. Then my Mom found some Amy Butler paper that matches her studio, so she decided to make one for her herself. Of course my new monkey Maggie the Magnificent wanted to be in the picture. We made the trek to Build-a-Bear yesterday as is our custom whenever my Mom comes to visit and Maggie just had to come home with me!! :-)
